We are continuing our series “What Did Jesus Teach”. In this podcast, we are going to take a brief overview of the things Jesus taught about God – The Holy Spirit.

For this Overview, our focus will be the Gospel of John Chapters 14-16.

He presents the Holy Spirit as a Teacher, a Guide, a Provider, a Comforter, and One who provides Power for witnessing/sharing our faith. This episode will only scratch the surface of the things we can learn about the Holy Spirit from Jesus’ teachings, but we also invite you to take a deeper dive into the topic with additional resources available through our websites.

We are currently working on a Mini-Series and Courses to go a bit deeper into additional attributes of the Holy Spirit. The series and courses will include a deeper study of the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit. What’s the difference? How does that impact our lives? Welcome back. This week, we continue in our series – “What Did Jesus Teach?”

This week, we will take a quick overview of what Jesus taught about the Holy Spirit.

Jesus present the Holy Spirit as a Comforter, Provider, Teacher, Guide, One who has Power to convict people of sin and draw people into a relationship with God. He is also presented as the third person of the Trinity. One God in Three Persons. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

Note– If you aren’t familiar with the Doctrine of the Trinity, go back to our previous podcasts. We’ve covered a basic understanding of the Trinity, including scripture reference downloads. It is an extensive topic, so we will be creating additional resources and podcasts to dive deeper.

Jesus also shares a variety of “Titles” for the Holy Spirit as He presents His various characteristics and attributes. We’ve broken it down on the Download Scripture Reference PDF below. Don’t forget to download the free resource.

What does it mean to be “filled” with the Holy Spirit?

Make a list of the Titles that Jesus uses for the Holy Spirit. How does each title or attribute of the Holy Spirit apply to your relationship with God?

How can you develop a deeper relationship with God?

Have you ever tried to explain this to someone else?

What Scriptures can you use to help understand this doctrine and share it with others?
